The Sitabu-Bunkato Initiative for Indigenous Rights and Ecological Justice (SIBIREJ) is a locally rooted, community-driven organization based in the Afar Region of Ethiopia. The initiative was founded to respond to the growing environmental, social, and economic challenges faced by indigenous pastoralist communities in the region.
SIBIREJ is a grassroots organization based in Afar Region, Ethiopia, working to protect indigenous rights, restore degraded ecosystems, and support vulnerable pastoralist communities.
